- 2 Cans of Chickpeas
- Olive Oil
- Sea Salt
- Seasoning of Choice: Paprika, Jollof, Cajun, Chilli Powder, Fajita, Piri Piri, Garlic Salt... the list goes on!
Method
- Drain the canned chickpeas and dry using a clean dishtowel or kitchen roll. It's important to dry well to ensure a crispy result!
- In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil. Don't scrimp on the oil, this will make the chickpeas CRUNCHY! Don't add any spices at this stage, they have a tendency to burn.
- Grab a baking tray and spread the chickpeas evenly. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the chickpeas turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and add the spices of your choice. Toss well until completely covered.
- Return the chickpeas to the oven for the final roast, approx 10-20 minutes until brown and crunchy. Finally sprinkle with sea salt and serve!
